Las ventas mundiales de celulares se recuperan en el tercer trimestre

18:40 (12 Nov)- Después de tres trimestres a la baja, las ventas de celulares conocieron en el período julio-septiembre un aumento del 0,1%, indicó el gabinete de estudios especializado Gartner. El aumento es muy modesto, pero el instituto espera que con la salida de nuevos productos antes de fin de año la tendencia se acelere en el cuarto trimestre de 2009. En 2010, se prevé que el mercado crezca entre un 5 y un 7%, gracias a los 'smartphones'. En concreto, se espera que las ventas de estos aparatos 'inteligentes' aumenten un 48%, después de hacerlo en un 29% este año.

Popularizados por el modelo iPhone, el aparato estrella del estadounidense Apple, "los smartphones representarán en 2010 el 21% de los móviles comercializados, frente al 11% en 2008", comentó a la AFP la analista Carolina Milanesi.

La firma de la manzana no deja de crecer en el segmento. En el tercer trimestre, sus ventas se incrementaron casi un 50%, y el iPhone representa el 17,1% de los 'smartphones' vendidos en todo el mundo, frente al 12,9% de hace un año.
